This official Pokémon Trading Card Game card features Budew, the delicate Bud Pokémon, as a Grass-type Basic Pokémon. The charming artwork by Yoriyuki Ikegami depicts Budew in a clean, natural setting, hinting at the Pokédex lore that raising it on clean water increases the toxicity of its poisonous pollen.

As a Basic Pokémon, Budew offers a surprising amount of disruption for its small stature. Its single attack, Itchy Pollen (cost: one Grass Energy), deals 10 damage. More importantly, it has a powerful secondary effect: “During your opponent’s next turn, they can’t play any Item cards from their hand.” This can cripple your opponent’s tempo and combo potential for a crucial turn.
